Manchester City squandered a penalty and a host of other good chances in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Tottenham. Pep Guardiola’s side had 18 shots but failed to convert while Spurs scored with their only two shots on target, the net result being City are 22 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
